Welcome to The Book Nook Sisters, the online extension of our little brick-and-mortar indie bookstore in Menominee, Michigan!

We’re Deanna and Jacilyn Knight, sisters, best friends, business partners, bookstore owners, indie authors, and two people who probably own way more books than we will ever have time to read. Books have always been a huge part of our lives, so naturally, we decided to make them our entire personality… and open a bookstore.

Our shop is all about finding your next favorite read, supporting indie authors, connecting with fellow book lovers, and creating a space where being completely obsessed with books is always encouraged. This website is just another way to bring a little bit of The Book Nook to you, even when you can’t stop by the store.

And because owning a bookstore apparently wasn’t enough, we write books too! Together, we’re the authors of A Love So Dark and Twisted and Give Me Just One Night, our closed-door romances filled with love, drama, complicated characters, and all the feelings.

Deanna is also the author of I Cry Out to You, her solo Christian fiction novel. This deeply personal story follows Lillyana Hart through bullying, struggles with self-worth, and some of her darkest moments as she begins a journey toward faith, hope, and healing. It’s a story about what happens when life feels impossibly heavy and learning that you don’t have to walk through it alone.

And now we’re getting ready to share our newest closed-door romance, Fall Leaves and Apple Trees. Think cozy fall vibes, changing leaves, small-town charm, unexpected romance, and the kind of story that makes you want to grab a blanket and a ridiculously large coffee.
